What are default templates?

The default templates within the Site Foundry application are what is set when a new page is first created, or a new area has the pages module assigned to it. This makes it very easy to set up default layouts for novice users, and avoids requiring them to make decision on templates etc.

It is very important to ensure that you have a default template set for both the site and pages, otherwise, any new pages created will result in an error.

Make a template default

1. To designate a template default, click on the template manager menu item on the top of the page.
2. Select the template from the current site template scroll pane.
3. Click the checkbox located directly beneath the template icon.
4. This selection will be automatically saved.

Note: Only one template (site/pages) can be created, this will be controlled by the application.
