What is the site activation?

If there is a situation that the whole front end of a Site Foundry installation needs to be rendered inactive, then the Site activation can be used to achieve this.

How to edit the site title

  1. To edit the site title, click on the site features menu item on the top of the page.
  2. There is a single check box labelled Site active. If the check box is checked, then the site is active, if it is unchecked, then the front end of the site is rendered inactive.

Please remember that Site Foundry uses AJAX transactions to communicate with the server. Clicking the check box once will change the state of the site activation instantly.

Templateing

There is a template (Smarty) contained in: 

/templates/siteDown.tpl

Which will enable you style up this page for instances when the site has been de-activated.
