What is a page order?

Manage pages
Manage pages

The majority of websites are based around a hierarchical order of pages that go to make up a main menu structure. Therefore the menu structure is made up of each page title listed (literally) in a specified order. Of course this will be dependent on the language the site is catering for - but as English was used to develop the application, lists always go left -> right, top -> bottom.

For example, the following is a nested unordered list structure for a website:

  • Amsterdam
  • Rotterdam
    • Things to do
    • Places to eat
      • Book an hotel
    • Cruises
  • The Hague

With this simple structure displayed at the top of each page of the site, it is possible for a user to then browse through the site, creating logical connections between pieces of information.

See here for more information about how the Site Foundry application works.
