Manage-pages:Direct edit
From Site Foundry
What is direct edit?
A page area can have any resource (module) assigned to it, and Site Foundry provides a number of ways of managing the content displayed.
One of these ways is using direct edit - modules can accommodate this function, and provide a way of directly editing content specific for a single area on a single page. If you use a direct edit function in the template manager, then this offers the ability to edit an area across all pages that use that template.
If a module offers this functionality, then the direct edit button will be displayed.
Using direct edit for a template area
- To use direct edit, click on the Manage pages menu item on the top of the page.
- Click on the name of the page that you are looking to edit.
- Click on the direct edit link located next to the area assignment dropdown.
- The module will then feed back an interface to control the area.
