What is a page template?
Page templates define the way that the individual page looks, and can be uploaded via the template manager. Site Foundry can have as many templates as your site requires, and these in turn can be applied to any page within the site. In this way, pages can be easily created, and have a look and feel assigned simply by changing the page template. Any editable areas defined for the template will be automatically inserted into the page.
Note: When you assign a new template, only areas with the same name will be carried across, any other will be deleted.
Editing a page template
- To edit a pages template, click on the Manage pages menu item on the top of the page.
- Click on the name of the page that you are looking to edit.
- Click on the radio button directly above the template icon you want to select (2. Choose a page template).
- The new value will be saved instantly, and the page will now be rendered with the new template.
