Assigning a template area

Page templates define the way that the individual page looks, and can be uploaded via the template manager. Site Foundry can have as many templates as your site requires, and these in turn can be applied to any page within the site. In this way, pages can be easily created, and have a look and feel assigned simply by changing the page template. Any editable areas defined for the template will be automatically inserted into the page.

Template areas reside inside each template and are assigned at the time that the template is uploaded. In this way, the template can have supporting HTML/XML tagging to support data transfer or layout with XSLT/CSS or just CSS on it's own.

Note: When you re-assign an area, what was assigned to it previously will be lost. This is important what changing the pages module, as it's data will become unassigned.
