What is the menu title and description?

The title and description of menu item enable you to reference the menu when using it throughout the application. No users will see these.

This name field will make up the template tag that can be used within templates site Smarty templates. For example, a menu called left_hand, will produce a template tag as follows:

{$m.left_hand}

Editing the title and description

1. To edit menu items title or description, click on the manage menus menu item on the top of the page.
2. Click on the menu's name that you want to edit.
3. Click on the input field labelled name, or the text area labelled description and enter any changes.
4. To save the data, click on the page, anywhere outside the field that has just been edited.

This also holds true for individual menu items.

Tips and tricks

If you click on the field and want to replace all its content, then use <ctrl> 'a' (<command> 'a' on a mac) to select all the content and over-type with any corrections.
