What are media folders

So that administrators can organise their media assets in an intuitive manner, Site Foundry allows the creation of a multi-level arrangement of folders within a designated folder on the installation server. The root folder for all media content will always be:

/images/upload/

It is then possible to create a folder rationale to work for any particular project. For example:

/images/upload/clients/video/building_project/

It is then possible to upload as many items of media to this folder using the media manager. It is also possible to delete an entire folder including, all media content by clicking on the delete folder button in manage media.

Creating media folder

1. To create a media folder, click on the manage media menu item on the top of the page.
2. Navigate the the folder that you would like to create a new folder in using the dropdown labelled path.
3. Enter the title of the folder that you would like to create into the text field labelled folder name.
4. Click create - the new folder will now be created on the server.

To delete a folder:

1. To create a media folder, click on the manage media menu item on the top of the page.
2. Navigate the the folder that you would like to delete using the dropdown labelled path.
3. Click on the button labelled delete folder - you will then be asked to confirm your deletion of all media and linkages.
